I want to dance with the mothman At the Irony Shop, Baked in the moonlight At the Irony Shop. Creep through the graveyard To the Irony Shop. The door's always open.
Speaker 2:At the Oddity Shoppy Oddballs the podcast where we Well, we tell you creepy, odd, weird, strange and bizarre stories from around the world. I am sitting here with one of the lovely curators, Kara Kara how are you doing today?
Speaker 1:I'm doing fabulous. How are you, Zachary?
Speaker 2:Oh, I can't complain. Why I can't complain at all? Because we have a new oddball in the shop today and we are so excited because we get to have the incredibly talented psychic medium.
Speaker 3:Excited because we get to have the incredibly talented psychic medium, fantastic author and presenter, axie Smith. How are you Welcome? Oh my gosh. Thank you guys. I love it. I have been so excited to talk to you we're excited and just to get to hang out. Yeah, we had so much fun when I last saw you in October.
Speaker 2:I know how is it already, Gosh, the end of January, Really February, True, true, true. It felt like it was just yesterday, but now we're so excited that you get to come here and actually hang out with us because, yeah, I've had the joy, the walk of seeing you do I think. Three or four galleries now.
Speaker 2:Well, I've done two with you, zach, so you probably, yeah, three or four okay, so I'm at four, then, and just like I'm gonna speak for myself and I'm gonna lay it out here really quick, prior to your galleries, I I was definitely more skeptical. I've always been a believer in paranormal and everything else, but being able to see what you and some of the people, like tim, that you've been on stage with has, beyond a shadow of a doubt, erased any skepticism from my brain and, like well, I'm just so excited now we get to sit down with you and talk to you a little bit more in depth about your skills and abilities.
Speaker 3:Well, thank you, Thank you so much. And when you guys make it a joy because you relax, you show up, you're present, you put things out there, so you make it really nice for us. I can't tell you how many times I walked past you in that hour, hour and a half and it was like I could read more, because, man, they're still so open and it's like I haven't even gotten to them across the room yet. You know. So it was just. I don't know if you noticed, but I kept moving back toward you. Next thing, I'm leaning on the table right in front of you guys.
Speaker 1:Let's just go hang out, cause it's yeah, and that was kind of like. You know the, the reading that we went to prior to that was we. It was a reading you did with Tim Shaw and it was the same thing. Like you were both, you were both kind of just coming right on over to us and we're like oh God, what does this mean?
Speaker 3:Cause you open so nice. Well, and that's it Exactly. Cause you'll get people in there and it's like all right, you just paid good money, you know unfold. Cause they'll have their legs crossed, their arms crossed and look at them in the eyes to see if their eyes are crossed Because they're just very cut off it's the only thing left, yeah, and so we just, you know, we just dove into that one.
Speaker 3:That was a blast with Tim. I would love to do that was incredible. That was so fun. We really had a riot and I was flattered. See, we'd never worked together and he'd never seen me work, so he you would have never known it was so wild. It was just really a nice kinship.
Speaker 1:I actually have goosebumps right now thinking about it.
Speaker 3:And he said to me, after he goes, two things. And I said what he goes. One the shit that comes out of your mouth, the stuff you say. And I went what he goes. One the shit that comes out of your mouth, the stuff you say. And I went well, thank you. And then the other was he's like this was seamless, it was, and it was so bizarre I'm like would you quit?
Speaker 1:stealing my people yes, you did. To keep saying that it was so funny.
Speaker 2:The way you two interact with each other and, like you, you can. You do the same thing, but just slightly differently and watching how you jump in and help each other through those things like it was super seamless.
Speaker 3:You would have thought you worked together all the time yeah, and it wasn't, it wasn't practiced, it wasn't because I had somebody say that to me after it was like, so you guys kept jumping in and doing.
Speaker 1:I'm like it was, it was cool, it was very, that was magic. Okay, so I think we all got very excited and just dove right in. So we've talked about you on here before we have. But for those maybe listeners that are new or want to hear from you, do you want to tell us a little bit about yourself and your experience, or your paranormal life or your mediumship, however you identify? Would you like to? You know? Give us a little take on XE? Sure?
Speaker 3:absolutely. I am a psychic medium. I've been practicing the psychic part probably about 12 years now. I was born a medium. I've always known things that I have no reason to know, since childhood Grew up in a haunted house, so that was, you know, something that dawned on me a few years ago I should tell people that, because it's really interesting had a great uncle attached to a picture, so he was in the house. Plus, there was a little boy who was a settler. Our house was half in the woods and half on a subdivision street, so it was a really, really cool way to grow up. We just explored and took off. You know, mom and baby like come back for dinner and it's like yeah, before the iPad kid days, yeah.
Speaker 3:Before the iPad and before you were afraid to go. Yeah, we'd go all day. And I'm an author of four books. First book, welcome to my Paranormal Life, became a bestseller and sold around the world.
Speaker 2:I think I actually have a copy of it. Literally I was like, oh, something's haunting.
Speaker 3:Not yet. You both kicked up and I went oh, so they're already here. Yeah.
Speaker 2:It wouldn't be the first time something's happened.
Speaker 3:No, no, not it. No, really cool. I can tell you this story later, but, um, spirit does kind of come and go. Uh, being in a community that I'm in currently, which is a 55 and up community, lots of death, you know in in a huge area, so things come in here, pop in and out. I I have to make sure I really feel the place. But yeah, so I'm a speaker and a presenter, I do galleries of all sorts which are just really really fun. I do phone readings or live online and, oh right, covid, covid taught us Perfect.
Speaker 1:Because I was gonna ask you that, which I guess this is a good time. I was going to ask if you have to be in front of somebody to help them, or however you want to, whatever you word it Like. Okay, so you don't necessarily have to see them, you could just be on a phone call, yeah.
Speaker 3:Interesting. And the battery, because I'm an energy reader as well. I kill microphones. I kill headphones Street. I'm an energy reader as well. I kill microphones. I kill headphones streetlights.
Speaker 1:So does Zach. So you're a slider. A slider, yes, he is. He did a whole episode on sliders and Zach's like wait, did you know that this was me? And I'm like, oh my.
Speaker 2:God, I had never heard the term. She's presenting the episode and I'm like I'm over here just having the biggest eye-opening experience. Like this explains so much. We used to call it my Christmas.
Speaker 1:Who knows Speaking? Of Okay for those that cannot see us what just happened was, in that mid-sentence, zach's camera completely went out Mm-hmm.
Speaker 2:So the Christmas curse was any electronic I get gifted for Christmas immediately would be broken or stop working. Literally just happened. All right, xe, we're, we're making things happen.
Speaker 1:That was too good.
Speaker 3:Okay, well so anyway, you can do it multiple ways. That's amazing, it's very cool. And I mean, on a cell phone, it just. I have people now that they're like, okay, we're gonna do phone again, right? I'm like, yeah, sure, and it's much easier for me because I don't need hair makeup. Yeah, get me in bad clothes. No, that's nice. Oh, it's just. Yeah, it's the best. So I don't mind that. But also, I don't mind if people want to come to my home. They want that connection, they want to know me a little more. Yeah, and it's fine. You know, we just sit at the counter and I'll do a read for whatever length, but it's just, it's wonderful, it is what I have wanted for an entire lifetime and put it out there. And I watched Chip Coffey and I watched Sandra Brown and all these other people and it was like God, I really want to do that. That's that's what I feel like you should be doing, and there's something that's so cool. Something was missing, you know.
Speaker 1:So so what? Okay, so, cause you said you've only been really doing this for 12 years. So then, what was that missing piece Like? How did you start getting into it then?
Speaker 3:Self-belief. I had two other psychics that I was in an event in Petoskey and I went to the bathroom and I came back and they'd put a signup sheet on my table and I'm like, who put this here? And it was full. There was like 10 people signed up immediately. And I was like panicking. I'd never read, so I was. I mean, I did things, but it was like not the same, because I hadn't qualified it, yeah, you know, didn't put a label on it.
Speaker 3:So I did three readings. First one was okay. Second one I had was getting a migraine and by the third one I was just out of it and I gave the third person their money back, went out and tore up the sheet and I was like nope. So I knew that I had started, and now it's like trying to shut the door. You can't. So I kept going.
Speaker 2:That's so cool, though, because, like the more I've gotten over the last year really big into manifesting Right and I've I've learned just how many of those self-limiting beliefs I have that have really held back the power of my own manifestation Right, so it's incredible how much we stand in our own way.
Speaker 1:Oh my God, huge, huge. Well, it's like that with everything in our lives.
Speaker 2:You know we're our biggest critics, so we are, but then you have people who who force you to get pushed outside of your comfort zone. Now two psychics in Petoskey.
Speaker 3:Now two psychics in Petoskey. That sounds like Deb and RJ behavior to me. One was Deb and then the other was Lady, she and her husband. And they're in God. What town are they in? We always tease them and call it a different name from what it is. I can't think of it, and I love her. I love him too. Barry, beth and Barry. And I love her. I love him too. Barry, beth, beth and Barry. It's Lady Beth.
Speaker 1:Oh, why does that?
Speaker 2:Lady Beth, all right.
Speaker 1:Lady Beth sounds familiar.
Speaker 3:And they're sweethearts. I just I love them and they've been nothing but supportive all the way around, and I tried to be there for them.
Speaker 1:Sometimes you just need that. That was like me and Zach. We're like we can't start a podcast, we don't know what we're doing, and we sat on it for what?
Speaker 2:Five years, I think, zach, and then five years the idea sat in a notebook in a drawer.
Speaker 1:And then finally, we were like, let's just do it. Who cares See what happens? And we've met so many cool friends now.
Speaker 3:I adore that. I adore that and I kind of feel the same way. You know, like Dale, who does a podcast out of Windsor. I met him in 2013 at the first time I ever went to my paracon up in the Sioux. He was one of the first people that came to my table.
Speaker 3:And he was one of the first people that ever bought my book, the original version of that book too. The original publishing house was a hot mess, so he just laughs at me. He laughed because he goes you had wire rimmed glasses and you had this short hair.
Speaker 3:You had on this little cardigan and it was buttoned like all the way up here and you were just kind of sitting at your table with this little book, you know, and he goes. So I came over to talk to you and it was so cute. But it's the evolution of and I got out of my own way and yeah, that's incredible Went to JC Penney and had headshots done. It was great. It was great.
Speaker 2:That's amazing. That's so cute.
Speaker 3:It was 23 bucks, you know.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I can't beat that yeah, no, hey, I'm, I'm polish and cheap.
Speaker 3:23 bucks sounds like a perfect price for a headshot oh my goodness because my last set was 800, so I was like god, I've used them for everything well then so I guess they paid for themselves, but it seems crazy. And you make them pay for themselves, because you just laid that out, and you better like them, right yeah.
Speaker 1:Hopefully they're good Right this baby's going everywhere.
Speaker 3:Yeah, yeah. Yeah. I had actually cut some out and taped them to the back of cereal boxes. I was like my husband was like all right, we're done here.
Speaker 2:That's so funny I love that, the prankster energy goodness okay, so you said something a little bit earlier and I apologize if I heard it wrong, but because you've been practicing now for 12 years but you've had the ability for longer. So, um, did you, am I correct? And you've been a medium forever, but psychic is the newer part. What? What's the distinction on those to you? And you know, kind of put it in like lay people's terms on medium, psychic and psychic medium, how they all interrelate.
Speaker 3:All mediums are psychics, but not all psychics are mediums. Okay, okay, so a medium, we can talk to the dead and we can talk to spirits, psychics we pick up, like, on predictions and those kinds of things. You know how's my love life, how's my money? Okay, the same boundary with that.
Speaker 3:I can do medically, sometimes intuitive stuff with that, that psychic part interesting they will both evolve and grow, and but they'll grow in two for me, in two different, completely different directions. Oh, okay, when I start to pick up dead like two, it was, um, things like wendigos. Yeah, that was, that was to date.
Speaker 2:To date, the scariest thing I've ever had to deal with I watched you speak on that and the energy you brought on stage from that entire talk still stays with me to this day. And if you think, every time that my HVAC event makes a rattle I am not instantly taken back to that talk.
Speaker 3:Oh, no, no, no. So things in that realm. But you learn too and I learned as well. I did a house cleansing, which I don't do anymore. I just they're not my thing anymore. You know, you kind of grow into and grow out of things. I learned that I don't have to sage oh, and I did things by will, by power, intuitive thoughts, putting really out there what I demanded of what was in this home home and leaving the ego out of it completely. Because you can't, you can't do that and have an ego.
Speaker 3:They will, it will eat you up yeah the ego and whatever you're trying to get rid of. Yeah, I can imagine um, and then I learned to use salted water or sage water. Oh okay, because some people don't want the smoke and I don't want the smoke and I don't want to smell like I've hung out with Snoop Dogg all damn day. You know it's like come on, please you leave there and you go to get something to eat just to do it. You walk in and people go damn, you know that's so funny.
Speaker 1:Where in the hell have you been? You know, who is that lady?
Speaker 2:And no wonder you're hungry? Yeah, exactly, oh, my god it's like I just walked out of the 70s you know holy shit.
Speaker 3:So um it it. It makes you change. I like that interest. You know you have to pay attention to it, you have to see it, and so many times I'll just get quiet at home and it's like, okay, I'll talk to my guides and my spirits when I'm like I want to grow more. This is the avenue. I want to be able to get names and dates. So I need some clarity. More clarity on this Help me.
Speaker 1:Do you know what's so funny Sorry? I just I wrote down spirit guide right when you said that, because I was gonna like I'm like, oh, I wanted to ask you, and then you said it and I'm like, well, I guess I'll ask you. So Zach and I are always like, well, I think Zach kind of knows who some of his guides are. I'm like I just want one, and I know yours change, because you've had a couple and like the last time I think you talked what, what was his name? Are you?
Speaker 2:I think was it paracon, where you were just kind of you had being introduced to a newer one.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it was something and I'm like I it's interesting to me because I guess I didn't think that you would change spirit guides. But I guess if you're evolving, then your guides would evolve too, and I guess I've never heard that until, like you had mentioned it at a couple of Pericons, like your different spirit guides, and I thought that was so cool.
Speaker 3:We have hundreds of them. They'll come, they go. They can be here for five minutes or 10 years. Oh, wow, okay, it really just depends. I've been sitting in. Well, it was in the living room and I was in the middle of a thought process and my guy got up out of like the you know, just kind of crisscrossed it and left. It's been my pleasure. And he bowed to me and left and this really beautiful Indian, like Middle Eastern woman came in. She had the most gorgeous braid, it was about this big around. I looked at her. I said are you here just to make me jealous of your? Hair.
Speaker 3:And she just looked at me and we didn't know each other that well yet, so she didn't realize how sarcastic I am and she was, you know, kind of taken aback. And I heard the other spirit guide laughing as he's walking away.
Speaker 1:He's like I'm getting rid of her.
Speaker 3:Okay, we're going to have a bumpy ride, but it's a good one.
Speaker 1:Do you always get a goodbye? No, oh, I mean, I'm sure we do, in certain ways maybe, but I've never had it happen, never paid any attention, I guess.
Speaker 3:So it was really cool and that's what I'll tell people that you know, like Kara, you've got two guides right now, but one's getting ready to leave, so that means you have change. So something's happening, something's already been happening. Okay, so something's happening, something's already been happening If that guides it ready to go. So either you've got something really cool, work, life's coming, we do so, there you go. So once this happens, then you'll have just the main guide. It feels like a female that will stay, but they're androgynous.
Speaker 1:It's not that they shapeshift, they just don't need to have a title of a sex, but we like titles. Now, can your family guides be like or family guides? Can your spirit guides be like your family members, or are they usually just Usually?
Speaker 3:past lives, sort of things, and they give a lifetime to hang out with you.
Speaker 2:Interesting, because zach has a lot of his family members that hang out and so we kind of always thought that they would be like they were, maybe be his guides, but maybe they're just chilling with you, zach they can be okay I felt in the last year and karen and I have talked about this a little bit a shift, um, and I did some work with my black mirror and and kind of saw those guides leaving and others coming in and I haven't really figured out who they are yet um, but you can feel kind of that shift in the energy and it almost kind of felt like the the job of the last one had been accomplished because you grew, and that's it you.
Speaker 3:You grew, you changed, you admitted something you know, to yourself, to you changed a way of being. So you closed doors, so interesting, and you're opening new ones. Yeah, like my brother who passed away a few years ago. He got ahold of my business partner, told her, tell my sister, that something was going to happen, but it was going to be okay and this was months ago. So yeah, and he my. My middle name is Suzanne. I grew up as my family called me Susie, so he used to sing oh, susie Q, that song, oh yeah he couldn't carry a tune in a paper bag man man, he was just so bad.
Speaker 3:But he'd still sing and he'd do his Jagger moves through the living room. He was 10 years older than me, so when he graduated from high school I started kindergarten. You know I mean a huge, huge division there. But she goes OK, what the hell is with the song Suzy Q, and I just started to cry. She's like, oh, I hate doing that to people. I went well, I said that was his message to me, so he did come in and do some work.
Speaker 1:That's interesting that he didn't come to you, right? You think you're not open to that. I could have been very closed.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and not letting him. Yeah, I am a little stubborn, so a little.
Speaker 2:Yeah, well, I would imagine with the amount of communication that you receive, both living dead you almost have to be a little bit stubborn at times.
Speaker 3:Well, I shut down, yeah, I close things off, especially like this community. I just kind of put up walls. I do that to go anywhere, to go outside, to go to the grocery store. Anymore I put up walls because it's gotten to be such an angry place. Yeah, like, like, what the hell?
Speaker 2:that's it. So you're able to. Are you able to fully shut it off when you choose to, or is it something like you know? Little things still come through like how? How's that experience for you going to the grocery store, just doing your normal?
Speaker 1:light switch?
Speaker 3:I don't know actually I put a hat on. Oh, it can either be imaginary hat or a real hat, so it covers my third eye and it closes my crown. That's when I tell people too, if you really need to take risks, just imagine you've put a hat on and it just because I don't even realize I sit like this. And that happens when I just unfold my shoulders down my back and it's just feels so nice.
Speaker 1:Wow, oh my God, it's like taking off your bra you know, I know that feeling, yep, yep made it all day for that baby.
Speaker 2:You know you can pretend I've lived with plenty of women in my life. I've heard. It's a good thing personally have tight shoes, or you know, you know there we go yeah pants which you know although at this point I work from home, let be honest, the sweatpants are on 24-7.
Speaker 3:Oh, I know they have them in different thicknesses.
Speaker 1:Yeah, oh my God, so I guess okay. So if you're turning it on, like you took your hat off and you're like, do you see, because I guess we kind of touched on you could do it over the phone or via this way or in person, yeah, so do you receive messages in different ways? In like, do you actually see? Do you like what a visual auditory sometimes?
Speaker 3:auditory, okay, and it's really bizarre because it'll be like and I'll look at my husband to see if he said has any, you know nothing. So it was spiritual, but just for me, yeah, and and probably in my head, but it's really sounded like it hit in the living room somewhere. But what happens is I see images. So for me to do a reading it's like like a game of charades fun it can be, and sometimes it's a pain in the ass because you're like, yeah, you need to get me more yeah, we've.
Speaker 1:I mean we've, we've watched you like trying to like get stuff, but it's like okay, so it's just like images. It's not like a full clear, or do you sometimes see that too sometimes?
Speaker 3:yes, I'll get a. That's the coolest thing, this woman. I was reading for this woman in New York and all of a sudden I was like, did you own a squirrel? And she goes. What she goes, it was so random, she goes. No, she goes, I am, she was, she lived in Brooklyn or something, and she goes. I am sitting in a chair next to a window and this squirrel just jumped and latched onto the screen of my window. So I picked up this squirrel in New York.
Speaker 2:That's so random, that's so wild.
Speaker 3:So then we go back, I go back to her reading and she goes I want to know I have painting. She was a really talented artist. Which gallery do I go with? So I see this really cool painting and then I behind it. They're really making me realize what it's a brick wall. Okay. And I said to her which gallery has has a natural brick wall in it, she goes the one. I want and I said that's the one they're showing me. So that taught me I have to look at everything.
Speaker 3:Yeah, like a full picture, Like if I see your grandmother and she's in a rocker and she's there's a rug at her feet and there's this certain rocker and it's like an heirloom, so I want to talk about that. And then there's like a stove behind her, so I talk about that. There's a cat. There's like homemade curtains on windows.
Speaker 1:So I try to do every single little detail that's so cool, so that they're so it's like everything has meaning it has validation.
Speaker 3:Yes, for them and for the spirit yeah and sometimes they will drop it until you give them everything that's so cool.
Speaker 1:so, speaking of a squirrel, then, can you do pet stuff or no? Sometimes, okay, I really want a pet psychic. I just want to know what Delilah really needs and thinks. I'm like girl, are you sure you want to know? Actually, I might not, because she's a little stubborn brat like her mother so I might not actually want to know. Little stubborn brat like her mother, so I might not actually want to know. Oh, my god, um, okay. So we just started talking about validation and for those listening we there, because now we're talking about, kind of like your readings and there was like when Zach says that you fully made him not okay, this is yes, I 100% agree, because there is no damn way the things that you say to people could just be like oh, you have a loved one that passed.
Speaker 1:Well, no, we all do like somebody like you have said some wild stuff and just like the one off the top of my head that I can think of is uh, last time we saw you in October it was was a woman that you were like did you are you missing? Like a piece of jewelry. Do you remember that Zach and her friend gasped because she was like oh my God, on the way here, she was talking the whole time about how she lost it was like a bracelet or a necklace or something and tore up the whole house for this. And I'm like, how in the world would anybody like? And you were just like oh, I think it was like your grandma said, it's like behind the jewelry box, but like deep in the carpet in the wall and I'm like I really wanted that lady's number. I wanted to. Can you text me when you get home because I need to know if you found that was grandma, correct, like I know.
Speaker 3:I'm like did you get by the baseball?
Speaker 1:yes, it's where you're like, it's like in there and. I'm like how would? And like yeah, people could say, well, everybody loses something. I'm like no, there's just too many wild things that even like for Zach and I and Zach's parents that you have said to us that we're like how the hell would she ever ever figure that out if this ain't real?
Speaker 3:Sometimes I just laugh, and it's not laughing at anything, it's just I got what I wished for and you know it's. It's one of those things my dad used to tell me when I was little be careful what you wish for you know and, and and I was in the way I worded it, and that's the other thing about this.
Speaker 3:I tell people you really have to be specific when you ask for things. Don't half ass, because you'll get half ass. You know, and it's just kind of like, I know there's there's a lot of dirty jokes about the genie and the you know wanting a bigger dick, you know, and it's like so she turns him into a donkey.
Speaker 3:Bigger dick, you know, and it's like so she turns him into a donkey, you know, and it's like, no, that's you know. So you have to be careful what you ask for, your intentions and your intent, yeah, and what you're gonna do with it. Yeah, you know the universe be a little dangerous they know these things and they sometimes then they give it to you because they want to know. All right, smart ass, here you go, here's your snake. You've got a hand, you got a handful of live snake. Now what?
Speaker 2:oh my gosh, so yeah I imagine some of those times right, like the, the jewelry that's fun and some of the things you've you've given us right, it's validation of a loved one or something. But I we've also seen in times where you've had to give not so fun messages.
Speaker 2:That's what I was just gonna yeah I don't want to put anybody's personal experience right, but you, you had let one woman know that she might not be safe totally for some things that were happening and I remember this, yes, and I have goosebumps thinking about it right now because actually this is so.
Speaker 1:Yeah, this is wild because on the, I was laying on the couch before we started recording and I was like I wanna I love you because we just have the same brain. Um, because it is true, it's like how do you, how do you make it safe for that person, like, how do you like so you're not scaring them, right?
Speaker 3:and but like you probably feel obligated to tell some of these people some if spirit brings it up to me, like the guy I had to tell he had to get a prostate exam. Oh, I know I'm sitting there and it's like, hey, it's like really like the second or third dude I'd ever read and go figure, and I'm just like really, really, really was this one-on-one or in a gallery? This was was one-on-one.
Speaker 2:At least good for him on that.
Speaker 3:It was, yes, right, and I was at my house and my husband's out in the garage, so I'm not nervous about anything but delivering this. And he went to the doctor and the doctor was like, what made you come? And he's like, well, we'll talk about this after. Yeah, let's just do the exam.
Speaker 3:And the guy had an issue and if he hadn't gone, it could have gone past something that was much easier to remedy, and so he got a hold of me and he goes and I told this guy and he asked me for your number.
Speaker 2:So that's incredible. That's validating, too, that a doctor wants your number wild right, right.
Speaker 3:I was like okay, people like that that I warn about danger. Sometimes, too, it's just don't run lights, don't be a hot foot off of a red, stay while it. You know, let traffic go. I would feel awful if. I either ignored it because I didn't want to spritin them. So it's been some years of trying to finesse. You know it's kind of backing into a conversation, yeah, and you sat there. You heard me try to.
Speaker 1:Oh, very carefully, be careful when you leave your home yes, yeah, and I think you did a very good job of it, but it was we're all like, oh my god because he's not right and he's jealous and he's narcissistic and they're you know, and he's, he's a danger to himself as well as to her.
Speaker 3:And that was just as frightening, because when people have that low of self-care, they don't really give a shit. They will take you out just as easily and then they're going to take themselves. Yeah so that was my real big thing for her was he's going to just beat the crap out of you because he's so upset that you're taking your life back. That angered me you know, oh yeah. Because it's like how dare you.
Speaker 2:Well, it was so unique in that reading specifically right, because most of it had so unique in that that reading specifically right, because most of it had been pretty light before that, and watching the shift in your energy when you got to her right and it was you were stern and repetitive. Like this is the message that I have to get across. So, like you need to understand when that happens to you, like, do you feel a huge responsibility or is there like a you know, kind of moral, ethical guideline getting you through that?
Speaker 3:both yeah, yeah and and that's one of those things you really hope that spirit and your guides massively step in for you and it's like go ahead, speak for me, because I'm not sure where I'm going with this or how I'm going there yeah so when I start to. Finally, that's where some of the repetitiveness comes into, because I'm trying to find other words yeah and I'm waiting for them to maybe deliver some other words.
Speaker 3:Yeah, show me another image, as I think I've covered that image. So for me I just see her opening her door and looking out and, like her garage sticks out farther so you can't see the front of the garage and it's dark part of the house this way and it's dark and there's just too. There were too many blind spots Goosebumps.
Speaker 1:I hope she got. I hope she got cameras everywhere after you talked about my whole. I mean I already have more. I would be getting more and.
Speaker 3:I just did a reading to this, well, 10 days ago, because I haven't. You're the first thing I've done. I was sick, but I had this woman. I said you need cameras, oh my gosh 10 bucks Amazon.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, they're cheap. Get them, yeah, be safe.
Speaker 3:You can put one outside by the front door. And I said I would put one out back. And I said very frankly, I would put something in my home that recorded.
Speaker 1:Wow.
Speaker 3:Just because.
Speaker 1:I would be, as soon as I'm done talking to you. Amazon cover overnight 8am.
Speaker 3:Like oh my god, you know, and that's the other dilemma is they're asking me do I get a divorce?
Speaker 2:Oh, that's such a weight on your shoulders do I get a divorce?
Speaker 1:Oh, that's such a weight on your shoulders I never thought of that. Like you dealing with stuff like I guess I never even like duh, because people come to you for that type. You are a therapist too.
Speaker 3:Yes, yeah, oh, like a bartender, oh yeah.
Speaker 1:My gosh. I never even like I mean duh, but like I never even thought of that.
Speaker 3:Wow my usual answer is aren't you? They already know what's in their heart? Yeah, they already know what they desire and 99 of the times they want out. So I just have to help them see and picture that out and how that looks. And it you know, it's not because it's huge. I mean that's a big thing, so I'm always like well, get an attorney. Usually a consultation is free. This person will then take you into some steps and let you know how this starts yeah, at least just give them that push yeah and I said so there, there, there's the start, but that's that's kind of all they're showing me.
Speaker 3:Where you take it from there is up to you, you know.
Speaker 1:Yeah, oh. So okay, you've obviously had to deliver some like scary messages to people. Have you actually ever been scared, like for yourself, like at a reading? Because I know some people hold some crazy stuff. So I can only imagine, if you're doing readings for people like, you've probably seen some scary things. Like, have you ever been afraid, like while you're doing a reading?
Speaker 3:not really afraid. Okay for me, maybe afraid for them, or all right, oh oh, the big one, big dive slider. Zach's gone, but um, welcome back oh no, this is great, like now I'm gonna wait, hold on zach.
Speaker 1:Your audio is now your audio is going talk again can you hear me?
Speaker 2:yes, just had to catch back up, sorry for the interruption it's too.
Speaker 3:It's too much energy here not really been afraid for me from from them, uh, but from the dead yeah, yeah yeah, I've had a couple of of of weird things. So now when I go and I peek into things like when I was checking on this wendigo to make sure that it was trapped god I put up a mirror so he couldn't see me. It could only see himself oh my gosh yeah, I don't need that in my house.
Speaker 3:I don't need that thing coming after me or my husband or anything. So it's like y'all stay away, so. But I will do that, I'll put up mirrors.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 3:I even do that in investigations, which is really kind of cool. You can disappear into a corner.
Speaker 2:Interesting.
Speaker 3:Call spirit in, in and you can let spirit wander through a room because you're behind a mirror. You're behind a two-way mirror and they only see themselves and they just think it's a wall or part of a, that nobody's there. Wow, and it is the most fun oh, that would be so interesting.
Speaker 2:and that's kind of blowing my mind because I I don't know why I would have thought like they would have this ability to still see you through objects or whatnot, but they're the immaterial ones.
Speaker 3:So sometimes they sense you, they can pick you up. But I've done it with a scrying mirror. To sit with my back to a room and put the scrying mirror up so it faces into the room. You'd be amazed. It's like a damn freeway behind you. Wow, maybe I was in a ballroom so maybe, maybe that was part of it. They were dancing through that's interesting but it was so very cool.
Speaker 1:That's very cool. I've never I don't think I've ever heard of that, but that's really interesting.
Speaker 3:But I guess it does make sense it does and in its protection for you, especially if it's something you don't trust. Yeah, you don't know its reaction what?
Speaker 2:what a cool additional level to the investigation, because I know, like when we've done things, you know we rely a lot on feelings, a lot on the technology kind of tools, or even some divination with pendulums and um dowsing rods and stuff, you know, but it's yeah an incredibly different level when you're able to experience those things on a much more physical level. May might not be the right word for it, but, uh, what would be uh the like, the differences when you're investigating compared to most people who are going in with equipment.
Speaker 3:It's so bizarre because I will lead groups and I have no equipment and it's kind of like I always hope they bring their own, because it's kind of boring, yeah, so I'm just grabbing all this stuff, yeah, like, oh, sorry.
Speaker 1:I mean I would imagine, yeah, Like you'd be like OK.
Speaker 3:I mean I would imagine, yeah, like you'd be like, okay, so, but it's like. So I finally bought like an SB7 and it's so. It's a validation for them, because I'll say something before it ever hits and is ever said through the box.
Speaker 1:Nice, that's, cool, that's fun.
Speaker 3:That's a lot of fun for them, it's a lot of fun for me, right? So you know that's's. That's kind of just the way that I like it to work. You know you want everybody to be entertained. But that was the really kind of my dual start in all of this and how I just kind of got this bigger jump on a lot of other psychics and mediums, because I started out as a ghost hunter and they didn't yeah.
Speaker 3:So I was hanging out with groups for seven or eight years and and they'd be like X, what the hell's happening over there? And I'm like, well, I'm busy. What are you? Doing.
Speaker 1:What are you doing?
Speaker 3:Snoring over there so you know, and you just give them grief and you give them shit right back, you know, and so that became this, this big friendship, um, but it's just the kick-ass validation, like we were at um old mill when you could go in the basement I don't know if you still can, I don't even know if they've cleaned it up yet um, they had an issue down there so you couldn't go is that that's the one in durand area um, yeah, the old mill.
Speaker 2:Oh, you want to go to that I haven't been yet I want to go. So bad, let's go.
Speaker 3:It's very cool they.
Speaker 3:They'll probably start doing hunts again, so you'll have to check it out yeah, for sure, really a fun place in the basement and I'm next to this woman I've known for a couple of years. She's funny as hell. We're not allowed to be in the same room anymore. We just laugh too much. And I said to her I said something's crawling up the back of my legs, like moving, oh. No, like crawling, oh moving up the back of my legs. There's a guy in a chair and he's got an f-word camera on and I didn't know this. So he looks at me, he goes yeah, see how you feeling. And I said, ah, really cool. I'm not sure how I want to feel when it gets to my ass, but other than that. So he goes, I can't believe you're not freaking out. And I said I'm not gonna be afraid of you, you know, it's just, it's, it's just so. I was really hoping I could like fart or something. I wanted to see what would happen. And then on the infrared camera, you know damn well.
Speaker 3:There's another spirit right behind you now that is so funny, and that one's a demon, so yeah, so I was really hoping that nothing happened. But so then I'm like, so funny, and that one's a demon, so yeah, jesus Christ. So I was really hoping that nothing happened. But so then I'm like, okay, well, now it's headed back down. And so I'm still chuckling and the girl next to me she was putting a fart and I'm like that's how she knows me. And I said, well, I tried, she just started to laugh. So then the guy goes, it's moving across the floor. Just started to laugh. So then the guy goes, it's moving across the floor and I said, is it going toward pat? He goes, yeah, she's like what?
Speaker 1:how do you know?
Speaker 3:and I, said it's okay, I said just so. It starts to go up the back of her legs too, and we just had this, had this incredible experience and it was so much fun.
Speaker 2:It was not dangerous, yeah, yeah did you ever figure out what that might have been in that situation, or what are your thoughts?
Speaker 3:I think one of the workers yeah just, yeah, just one of the people that was down there, yeah yeah, oh my god, that's so funny I kept waiting to get the yeah I grabbed that.
Speaker 1:Grab that butt. That's so funny.
Speaker 3:I know I was like god of all the times in my life, I can't fart right, yeah, never when you actually want to right exactly, god, that would have been so good.
Speaker 1:I know it's like oh well, that's so funny. I just laughed. Oh my god, so yeah, that's hilarious. Oh, um, I just lost my train of thought. I know I was gonna ask you something else. I'm just like first off this. I know we're like so far in, but I'm still so happy that you're here. Like I can't like. I, me and Zach are just like every time we have a guest which we're just so incredible that they like want to hang out with us.
Speaker 3:Well, we're, we're honored that you want to have us on.
Speaker 1:So yeah, you know it's I love it and I love that we can do like you know video chats now, because it is like we're like in the same room hanging out.
Speaker 2:It makes that just so much more fun it's so cool to just kind of like, you know, pick into your brain a little bit too, because not having the abilities right, like there's a certain way, I think, preconceived notions that we have of of what you do, right, and it's so cool to like see inside your brain a little bit, it's scary, yeah, you know, I, I think I bet probably scarier for you who probably actually looks inside people's brains at times, right, but, um, do you find, like you, you know, being a very outward open with yourself psychic medium, has that changed your relationship with people in your life who may be either inside the community of paranormal or out of it?
Speaker 3:Yeah, a lot, a lot. It's sad too, because for a long time there was there was a level of jealousy, yeah, and it was like right, I don't go there. Of jealousy, yeah, and it was like right, I don't go there. I mean, I don't I want everybody to succeed and let's all go up together, because it is much more fun in a group, it's like it's a party. So, let's, let's do this. You know, and it just kind of didn't it made me sad yeah it is what it was, but I put my damn time in, absolutely.
Speaker 3:I have worked very, very, very hard and done my research, done my personal growth, done you know, all of that work that you need to do, and then for somebody to step in and try and be me, or or yeah, or shoot me in the foot by sticking with my jobs yeah don't go there.
Speaker 3:You don't, you don't even want to go there. I was certain levels of pissed off that hasn't happened in a long time. Well, that's good. So, you know you, you kind of get to, you get to a level Tim Shaw and I talked about this. It's like let me do my thing, let me help you, because that's really why I'm able to do my thing is so that I can help you. And let's grow this. Let me make some things clearer for you so you can take steps forward and maybe quit chasing your tail or, you know, quit trying to fight, whatever this thing is.
Speaker 3:And that was a big thing for me too, because I had certain goals in mind that I set for myself. So it's really hard when you have to finally admit, damn it, that's not going to happen, I'm not going to get there, but there's a reason. So when you can finally let yourself off the hook and shut that door, maybe the other door doesn't automatically pop open, but it will. It will, yeah, because you, you know, you've let those things go. And that's that's kind of the last year, because I run into ageism and it's hard.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I would. I would imagine. I mean, relationships in general are so hard because people are so different and trying to keep a relationship is very, very difficult. Zach and I have talked so much on our podcast just about different relationships that we've lost and left just because of different things. So, yeah, I can't imagine it, with you having your abilities, like you said, people being jealous or I would even think like people, maybe being afraid of you when they find out, like your, you know your total capabilities Like I can't imagine trying to hold some relationships. How is your husband? How does he feel about all of us seeking of relationships? Because my husband is always like he's like girl, do whatever you want to do, I support you, but I don't want to know about it. I don't want to know who you talk to and what haunted location you go. Do that graveyard, do whatever you want, but I don't want to know, see, we married basically the same man.
Speaker 3:So yeah he, he doesn't hear anything, he doesn't see anything. One time, about five years ago, in the middle of our living room, he was in the kitchen and I'm sitting on the couch and I hear this oh, that's a little weird. The sound was here and he's over here and I looked at him and he goes what? I went. Oh fuck yeah, he just.
Speaker 1:I'm like and he, and he's like, nope, he went it wasn't you.
Speaker 3:I went Nope, he was like damn it, damn it, damn it. But that's it. He's never seen anything, he's never heard anything and I keep, I'm very careful, yeah, I keep things away from him. He's my partner, he's the love of my life and you know he puts up with a lot of shit, so I greatly appreciate it.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's kind of how Aaron is. He's just like all right, you go to your conventions and then he'll be like did you have fun? Yep, he doesn't want to know about it, he doesn't want to. He don't want to know about any of our, of our you know, readings with you. He's just like I'm glad you had a great time. It's, it's, but it's supportive. You know it is, but he is the point. So our house, um, the previous owner's wife had passed away here, but he kind of went over his head. No, no, she didn't die here, she died. And all the neighbors are like no, kara, she did. I'm like it's fine. We're just not going to tell Aaron he doesn't need to know, he doesn't need to know You're like mm.
Speaker 1:Yeah, no, and I was kind of like seeing some things and I'm like, well, maybe it's her, I think it might be. Yeah, there's been times where I think it's her and then I think you, because tim freaked me out oh my gosh, that was the best oh no, well, in a good way it was in a great way because it was the read this was your first reading, right yes, so so you were already a little bit of that, like you weren't closed off but you, you had the jitters and I kept saying I kept, but I kept telling myself don't be closed off.
Speaker 1:But you had the jitters and I kept saying but I kept telling myself don't be closed off. I kept trying to tell myself that because I am very much that type of person, I'm very much an empath and I literally used to be the biggest bitch because I would just shut down, I don't want to deal with people. So I'm slowly trying to just work with that and so I'm like, okay, don't be closed off, don't be closed off, like, don't be closed off. And I like pep talk, my car, the whole drive there, like a three hour drive. I'm like, okay, who wants to come talk to me? You know like I'm like, and so I can feel both of you walking around and just like honing in on me the whole entire time. And Zach can feel it and his mom keeps looking over at me like, oh, they're gonna get you, they're gonna get you. And I'm just like trying, not, I'm like shaking, thinking about it.
Speaker 1:And the first thing Tim says he looks at me, he goes are you the one that keeps seeing shadow people in your house? And I like, audibly, like almost screamed, I gasped so loud. Zach's like oh, my god, in the whole room is like no, okay, well, that's not fake. Yeah, that's not fake. And I remember you saying you, you stole her from me. I said well, well, give me what. What do you have? Do you have more Cause?
Speaker 3:I need to know Exactly, you were the next person I was coming to and so he was oh, I was so mad.
Speaker 1:Yeah Well, both of you are kind of like no, I think it's like your family. And I'm like okay, cause I was kind of ignoring it stuff, and I'm like I'm not, I don't want to open, it's a dark thing. So I kind of been ignoring it like I wouldn't even talk about it. So then I was like okay, both of you kind of were like no, I think it's like your family or whatever. And then as soon as I was like cool, I don't see him anymore, oh nice, but I'm like why'd you leave? Now I know you're good like come back, but it could be her, I don't know is your grandmother on your mom's side gone.
Speaker 1:Yes, see, it could be her. So I, it is one of them is because and this is a cool story I just have to tell you so my, I have a spare bedroom and so when I had COVID the last I don't know, that was like months ago I just camped out in my spare bedroom so I wouldn't get, you know, aaron, sick and one. My grandma loved those things, um, they're like little plastic things, like owls and stuff that turn in the sun. You know what I'm talking about. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, and she had a bunch of them and I have one and I have it just sitting on a little like side table in the spare bedroom, about 15 feet away from any sunlight.
Speaker 1:And it's not. But yeah, it's not. And it's weird because I have those blinds pretty much cracked open all day. The sun goes in there all day. That thing doesn't move.
Speaker 1:I'm in there middle of the night, maybe like 10 o'clock, 11 o'clock, and I'm in there and I am just going through it Like I am not feeling well, I'm just like and I start to feel I'm like who's in here, like somebody's in here, and it's such a big statement too. Yes, and so Delilah is on the floor on her dog, but she had a little bed on the floor, she didn't want to leave my side and she's looking up at the um, the top of the table, and she's just staring and she's like not, and I'm like, I'm like who the hell is here? And then that thing just starts moving and then it would stop and I was like grandma, is that you? It's just like moving and I'm like oh my God. And Zach's like I can't believe you didn't record it. And I'm like, but my first reaction was not to record it Cause it was like for me.
Speaker 1:I FaceTime my mom and I'm like mom, grandma's here, and she's like what? And I'm like I said ask a question? And it didn't move. And my mom goes mom, are you here? It starts moving and my mom's like, oh my God, we're both crying and so. But then you know, after I like go to bed and I'm like, or I'm trying to go to bed, and then I'm like what if it wasn't grandma or something just trying to fuck with me? So then I kind of cut it, so can you stop making me feel this type of way? And then I felt better. So she's definitely around, and that lady is one of the reasons that I believe in what I believe in, because she was all about the aliens. There's ghosts and like respect and all that stuff. So she, I know she's around.
Speaker 3:That's wonderful.
Speaker 1:But I don't, I don't feel her or see her that much. That was the one time that I was like oh, she's here.
Speaker 3:She was worried about you. She was. She did not like you sick, no, she did not. And the lady that, seeing that lady of the house too, you know the same thing she'd be mom, you know. So you kind of had both yeah probably smell chicken soup or something I know right.
Speaker 2:Oh, I couldn't really smell anything, so maybe, maybe yeah, they're over there going breathe, breathe yeah, okay, so one of the things I had to ask, right, that I've been wanting have you ever just had like one of those moments like you're at the gas station and going through the grocery store where you just like you have to just let the full and we love the word crazy here, so crazy is in like the best way the crazy flag fly and you just grab somebody, be like I have a message for you, like you would see, in like oh, I wanted to ask you that too.
Speaker 3:No, no, no to me that is so intrusive it is and it was just kind of like no, I mean, I've had messages for people that are friends and you'll get a hold of them and be like all right, got to tell you, take care of this so that your dad will quit bugging me, but nothing like that, because it's not real. I mean the Long Island Medium. Oh yeah. Those people, they're vetted, they sign forms. This isn't this random thing that doesn't just happen, it's a whole setup, oh yeah.
Speaker 2:And that's why I had the skepticism right, Because I grew up on her. And what was the other guy from when we were younger crossing over john edwards?
Speaker 3:john edwards yep, oh, okay, I loved him and he caught such a huge bad rap and I and I felt bad because to me I really think the man is authentic and he taught me a lot. He taught me a lot of east coast way of looking at things. You know, sandra Brown, same thing. She was just, you know, and she I loved her, had a little skepticism of her in her later years well, I think you know it's like the TV.
Speaker 1:They do that right, because it's not like at all like the ghost hunting shows too. It's like we all know that half of that is somewhat scripted or like so pieced together. So it's the same. Yeah, it's like we all know that half of that is somewhat scripted or like so pieced together, like so it's the same. Yeah, it's entertainment exactly, and that's.
Speaker 3:I've had three um tv options. They they've offered me to do pilots and I was like you know. And the one guy goes you will sign a sheet that says you will make statements that that you know. No, here, listen to this. And I'm like well, that took care of that. I will never do that.
Speaker 3:And then the other one was would be filming while we were supposed to be here, and I'm like no no this is my time with my husband, so that was one of those steps that I said I felt bad because I was never going to achieve, but I kind of really did achieve it, I guess I just turned it down.
Speaker 1:So yeah, yeah yeah, you know.
Speaker 3:But yeah, same thing, kind of general thing. I am honest with people and I hope that I get that in return. I love that, but it really it really matters.
Speaker 1:Yeah, well, I think that if anybody spent any time talking to you, they know that you're genuine and authentic. And it's funny Cause I was just thinking about when you were just saying that you can't talk to your one friend Cause you're always like laughing together. Your table was always laughing, um, I remember every time we'd walk by I was at mid Michigan Paracon in the last one. I'm like everybody at at her table with x. He's all laughing. They're all having fun.
Speaker 3:I'm like dang like you got we all want to be over there you got to. It is too much of a hoot. Well, until that was bizarre. Up there I had two mediums that weren't working the show but were attending the show came to me that second morning. They both had messages for me. Oh wow, just out of the blue and I was like, interesting, would you mind if we, if I delivered the message? And I'm like, oh hell, no, go for it.
Speaker 3:I'm sure I gotta hear this, you know. So, yeah, so the one really interesting and in I get both of the messages were something that was supposed to happen in a really great way in. January. Oh so I keep looking at the calendar going oh yeah come on, peeps, you gotta pump her up here. You know, we got a few more days.
Speaker 1:Felt like I was gonna die, but that wasn't about the positive thing here no, no no, no, well, that's just so that's so funny Speaking of that because you gave me a message last time and you're like are you guys like doing an event or something? Are you doing an event Cause you're like you got to watch out for somebody at this event. And me and Zach are like oh shit, we are doing an event which we didn't. We weren't. We are now and I'm still keep thinking every. I'm like dang, I see. I'm like who is it? I got it Like. I'm like who is this person I got to watch out for Because I need to know now. It's making me nervous.
Speaker 3:And it's more you, because you're vivacious and you're attractive.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and that's. You said that last time because you're like it's something like I don't even know. It was like a woman with blonde hair and a guy that she's with. And now every woman I see with a blonde hair I'm like who are you with? Why are you talking to me Like I don't know about you?
Speaker 3:Well, and then we find out, she dyed her hair Right.
Speaker 1:That's what where we talk about that. Zach, I think we did. I'm like, what if they don't have blonde hair or they're wearing like? I'm like, oh, no, yeah, yeah, so we are doing. We're hosting an event at eloise in april. Wonderful, yeah, so hopefully nothing crazy with a blonde and a guy I have, I don't know.
Speaker 2:We will report back to you and if anything does, we will make sure to keep you posted.
Speaker 3:I'm gonna be xa, damn it, damn it yeah right again, darn you.
Speaker 1:Oh man, oh, my god, that's so funny. Yeah, he's just kind of a creeper. Okay, good to know I can handle creepers exactly. Yeah, you'll be fine. If that's all it is, I'm good I got. I mean, I've dealt with those all my life.
Speaker 2:You've just given her a piece that she has not felt in three months. Oh, I'm sorry. No, no, no it wasn't.
Speaker 1:It was just like we're like okay and like. At that point we were a little bit like eh, should we even try to do this or pursue this event? We're like you know, we're just I don't know. And then that made me I'm like I don't know. X. He said that maybe we shouldn't. I don't know. No, I get a good. No, I think we're, I get, we're good, I get money, money money, money, money.
Speaker 3:I won't say no to that. Yeah, that's a choice.
Speaker 1:Yeah, money and opportunities so awesome well, that's, that's what we're hoping for I mean, either way, it's going to be fun. So we're actually doing, um, we're building. So our friend lauren uh builds equipment.
Speaker 2:So she's gonna do a workshop. Who's been at the last couple paracons, or at least have seen her around?
Speaker 1:yeah, uh, lauren helixson, and so she does. She's gonna do a build with us and we're gonna do um a build first of a proximity sensor kind of like proximity sensor. Yeah, so we're gonna do a build workshop for a couple hours at the asylum and then we're gonna go romp around with our new equipment. So it's I know we're exciting. So our tickets go on sale the end of january, a couple days, and I'm like getting nervous.
Speaker 3:Yeah, let me know, I'll post, I'll post it for you. Oh, oh awesome.
Speaker 1:Oh, you don't have to, but I would appreciate that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So have you ever gone to Eloise?
Speaker 3:Yeah, I got invited a few years ago, todd Bonner. They've changed over so much of their staff, so many times they were like one of the first original groups in there.
Speaker 1:And we went in there and, oh my gosh, the basement was in the kitchen area was nuts.
Speaker 2:Oh really see, we didn't really have a lot in the basement, we didn't feel a lot, but the equipment down there not not the sub-basement but just the actual basement, oh the base, never mind, I lied, remember that, that's right.
Speaker 1:The sub-basement, nothing in the basement. It was that one thing liked me. Yeah, I don't know what it was yeah, because there were those.
Speaker 3:What are those things? They're like they're. They're not human, they're, but they show up silver for me um?
Speaker 2:would it be more of like an elemental?
Speaker 3:elemental yeah in the ceilings where the ceilings were separating. Okay, yeah, they showed up as like silver in there. For me Weird, all of that energy and angst and anger and overly happy was all just you know, yeah, and saturated into the floors and they were just in there. So we were talking to a cook. There was a nurse, really tall, um mechanical engineer guy in the back corner. He was out in the hallway too. The hallway was so dark and it's like it's so dark there he is. He's back there in that corner and he's lurchy. He was so tall. Oh, and one nurse was pissed off because the cook was flirting with one of the girls.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's so funny. We were getting all kinds. I mean, we did a 12 hour investigation there, we had so much fun.
Speaker 2:Oh my gosh, and that was one of our first ones and it was like the activity started the second we walked in.
Speaker 1:It was so much fun, yeah, and we were. And then we kept meeting people. They're like well, wow, you guys have a lot of stuff going on, can we hang out with you?
Speaker 3:you're like, yeah, come on over yeah, I got tagged there on the side of my leg. Oh, I had on knee socks with high leather boots and jeans and it left like uh, three dots in in the in a oh that would freak me out.
Speaker 3:So we're, there's people where they were dicking around. It was just all this ego crap and they're recording each other and they're all. So meanwhile, I'm trying to block this dude that just came out of this office. He was there, his mother was there too, and he just wanted to hurt us. Oh so. I'm holding him back. Meanwhile, something down the hall is coming down the hall and it's a wall locker.
Speaker 1:I'm so glad we don't see this. Oh my god.
Speaker 3:We were told that we remember we were told about that, yeah the creeper little so then she gets to the corner and her neck, that's broken. Looks at me and I go oh, that's just fucking wrong. And there go, they go what? And that thing nails me in the leg, oh my god, oh wow it drained my energy.
Speaker 3:So bad I was, I was ganged up. I mean I was like all right, this pissed me off. So when I was ready to go longer, it took all my energy. Oh so, like bad, it was just greasy and gross and I just so I ended up leaving within another half hour.
Speaker 2:Oh, I don't blame you after that.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I was wiped out, it zapped me and it took my energy so badly, oh my God.
Speaker 1:I was wandering around that place by myself. Yeah, I mean I there was only like one room that I really for and it was like a bathroom, like a little off yeah, there was one bathroom that just I couldn't do it repelling energy like zach kind of went in there and I was like no, I'm not.
Speaker 2:I said I am not going in there, like for whatever reason I have been fine, I've up down over, no, yeah oh, except for that one staircase where we both saw the apparition, but we didn't tell each other till later and we saw like the full, and then we got locked in it.
Speaker 1:Oh, I was well we got locked in the stairwell, but they're like they swear that there's. No, they don't know how the door got shut. It shouldn't have shut. And I'm like, okay, well, it got shut and we're locked in here, so can get me out. But other than that, we had a great time. We're going back. Yeah, it's a kick-ass place.
Speaker 2:What. What's your favorite place that you've investigated? Oh gosh that one I know that's a tough question a lot.
Speaker 3:Um, I really wanted to like Collingswood in Ohio, the old nunnery. Oh, I really really wanted to like that. And I saw this nun man and she was not happy with me. I had a shirt on with all crosses on it and a big jeweled cross and I'm at my table and all of a sudden she is, and of course she's a ruler. I was gonna ask that. Yep, I'm like oh.
Speaker 3:I'm like bitch. No, I am not Catholic, we're not, we don't have to go here. So I don't even realize people are standing here watching me, because all I'm seeing is her yeah and she's doing that fast movement stuff.
Speaker 1:No, oh my God, that would freak me out.
Speaker 3:In full penguin. You know she's in the full. No, that would freak me out. And then she comes front and center of the table. And that's when I kind of realized that it's people just standing there watching me. And I went OK, and so I'm just checking her out, I have you know. I asked her. I said is there something that I can help you with? Is there? Are you upset with me for something? And I'm I'm thinking, yeah, you're sure you're here, cross there goes.
Speaker 2:Zach is just sliding all over the thing is, we did have a sidebar conversation me and Axie, I don't think you were there for kara or that kara, but we were talking about when we get on for this podcast together, expect there to be tech oh, you did tell no, I wasn't there, but you did tell me that that is so funny.
Speaker 3:Oh, my god, okay back to the yes, so she just disappears. And the guys that were running it at the time they just kind of stepped up and they're like, was it the nun? And I'm like, oh yeah, yeah, oh yeah, she was not happy. And they went look at your outfit and I just started to laugh. So they invited me back. So whenever I saw, whenever they were going to do something, they'd text me they come down, we're gonna. You know. So it was, it was fun. Um, I like that. There was a place in Ohio it's a house Can't remember the name of this house and that was. That was very cool. Um, there was a house in Michigan, too up in the thumb, and they, they sold it. So, cause you could do a, b and B, you could spend the night and investigate, and it had like two separate basements.
Speaker 3:Okay, oh, that was wild. So we uh.
Speaker 1:I want to go somewhere with you. I'm putting. I'm putting that on my list of stuff I want to do. That'd be cool. I'm done by 11. Now, that's fine. I can't stay up all night anymore.
Speaker 3:I don't want to stay up all night anymore you know you can do it and then you're like I don't really want to do it anymore. And then physically, you're just like if I want to know what Sunday is, like I can't be up till four in the morning, exactly. Yeah, it's like I'll wake up Monday. Oh my God. Oh, he did it again and I like the Z, it's like a snore.
Speaker 1:It is you good, Zach. I can hear him clicking. There he is.
Speaker 2:I don't know if you guys can hear me, but I lost all audio. From how long ago I'll be back, oops oh, no meaning this is gone.
Speaker 1:Gone, I don't know that would not be the first call. That would be our luck. Oh, no this was so good well, hopefully it wasn't all of it, maybe it was just like a portion, and if that's it, we'll make it work. Aye, aye, aye, you sliders man, I don't know. We knew there'd be tech issues, but damn, I know Well, hopefully it's just not too much audio yeah.
Speaker 2:I should be less distant now. Yes, you're good.
Speaker 1:So did we lose audio, are we? Good.
Speaker 2:I haven't actually looked at that yet. I'm going to trust the universe. Quick side note Thank you for bearing with us through some technical difficulties on this episode. We did lose a little bit of the conversation here, but we did want to keep the rest in, so we're going to just pick back up where it kept going.
Speaker 1:Thank you. You know we always say like when you go to like conventions and stuff, we always feel like normal. Isn't that nice? You know, like nobody, yeah, nobody judges you. Everybody's like a little weirdo and a little oddball and like you can just say whatever and feel and nobody like yeah.
Speaker 3:And it's like for the most part, I part, I don't. You know we haven't had met, really met, anyone that we didn't like, so it's like it's just a fun little environment.
Speaker 1:So I think we'll do it for a long time.
Speaker 3:That's wonderful.
Speaker 2:Well, you do a good job with it, so I hope you do absolutely. I'm so sorry when I dropped off guys, are we where? Where are we at, are we?
Speaker 1:so we just started talking. Okay, just, we didn't really cool but I don't remember what we were talking.
Speaker 2:Oh, favorite places, but yes um, let's see, it was favorite places you had just started talking about oh, we were just talking about how we would go go hunting with her someday yes, yes, yes go to bed at 11 that's where we okay. Well, with all that, I think, with my tech issues that are starting over here, the energies might be telling us it's time to let xe go, because we told her an hour.
Speaker 3:We've been talking for an hour and a half yeah, it's so easy with you guys, though I know it's easy with you yeah the time, just like we lose track so fast.
Speaker 2:Before we go, we pitched our next event, but, axie, where are you going to be the? Next couple months, when can our listeners find you? And also if they wanted to book with you online or phone or in person.
Speaker 1:Yeah, let's get them, or do you not want to be? If you don't want to be booked?
Speaker 3:I'm actually booking May, so they can get ahold of me. Anything pretty much XC paranormal. So XC paranormal, you know, dot com at gmailnet it would. You know all of those. My books are on Amazon, yeah, and I I have unbooked myself a lot this year. That's good. I have an event in April. It's a holistic event. Ooh.
Speaker 3:Yeah, where's that at? It is in Oxford. Oh, okay, we have an event page. I will reshare that again and it's at the I think it's the BFW. I get the two of them mixed up, but it's from 11 to 6. And it should be a great one. Lots of great vendors and readers, healers.
Speaker 2:And we'll make it really easy for everyone listening, because all you have to do is scroll down a little bit and we'll have Exie's website and Amazon and all that good stuff so you guys can find her and get in contact.
Speaker 3:Thank you, yeah, no, mostly it's just, I'm concentrating on the readings.
Speaker 1:Perfect. That's awesome, though I mean. I think that you probably get more fulfillment from that.
Speaker 3:I do, and it's actually the path yeah.
Speaker 3:And I'm supposed to really really pick up on. That has been my message. It's like psychologists and shrinks they have shrinks, we have mediums that we go to or psychics that we go to as well, and I had a reading last March from my favorite and Amy and she just kind of let me know that this is, this is the path, that is, that it's going to take me where I you know where I want to go, and she goes. It's a lot. It's a lot of door closing and I have been closing doors for about 12 months, 13 months. That's tough to do, it is so that's good. It's a little. It was spooky, but yeah, and some of them closed on their own. You know my paracon and that knows and it's like, well, it wasn't really a shock.
Speaker 2:Yeah, there was some signs leading up to it this year there were signs.
Speaker 3:It was a year sooner than I thought, but um, also, it was what this meant to be.
Speaker 1:Yeah absolutely time to leave. I'm starting to hear weird things over here, oh god oh my gosh well, this is, this has been absolutely amazing.
Speaker 2:I so appreciate you coming on here and taking the time, and especially now that you're not under the weather with your flu anymore.
Speaker 3:I know Hallelujah, I know I was like. I even went to dinner and had a beer.
Speaker 2:Oh, that's how you know you're feeling better.
Speaker 1:You're feeling better or you just want to make yourself feel better. Yeah, I just wanted a Modelo. I was like, all right, yeah, this is what we need to do. We need to go have some ghosty adventures and have a beer. That's what we need to plan.
Speaker 2:The Modelos are on us, Axie. You let us know when you're ready. That's a deal.
Speaker 3:That's a deal. I'll be back in April.
Speaker 1:All right perfect.
Speaker 2:Sounds good, we'll set something up.
Speaker 1:Thank, you, kara. You know what you got to do now. All right, bowles. I hope that you enjoyed this. I don't know why you wouldn't. Xc. We always ask our listeners to leave an emoji of something that maybe resonated with what we talked about. So is there an emoji that you could think of that maybe they should leave for this episode? Yeah, it gotta be a ghosty, little ghosty emoji. Okay, so you heard it. Xc wants a ghosty emoji. We love you, we appreciate you, and this is already a long episode. So, like all three of us, we wanna go to bed, and if you're listening late, you might wanna go to bed. So we love and appreciate you. Like I said, the most important thing that you can do for us is to creep it real Yad balls. Bye, thank you, goodbye. I'm home with the dogmen At the ID shop, hooked in the shadows At the ID shop, and home with the oddballs At the ID shop. The door's always open At the ID shop, alicia, the door's always open.
